5) Mushroom: Analog Hi Surprise CD
(Clearspot / EFA Records, Germany)
(Innerspace Records, San Francisco)
Mushroom: Analog Hi Fi Surprise double vinyl LP
(Fruit Tree Records, Italy)
recorded at same sessions as Hydrogen Jukebox,
German CD released February 1999, American CD released August 1999,
Italian vinyl released December 1999.
Please note: the Analog Hi Fi double vinyl LP contains the complete CD, plus 1 song not available anywhere else: Theme From The Movie "Rock Bottom" and Elliott Smith as one complete 20+ minute song, rather then cut in 2 parts as it is on the Hydrogen Jukebox CD. "Rock Bottom" in a different mix, was used as the title track in a movie, actually a tasteful and heartfelt documentary about San Francisco prostitutes who smoke crack. We're not kidding !
6) Mushroom: Leni Riefenstahl vinyl LP
(Aether Records, Indianapolis, IN)
This was a vinyl only release of all new recordings,
the title cut was recorded during the Analog Hi Fi Surprise sessions,
the rest of the album was recorded in September 1998.
released January 2000.
This was a limited pressing of 450 numbered copies plus a handful
of un-numbered press and radio promos floating around.
The cover art was a psychedelic drawing done by the legendary artist David Huckins.
song 1 cross fades into song 2. Despite the title of song 3, a & b are totally separate songs, not one song !
